This is somewhat of an update, but a disappointing one.
It follows up 2009 – The Pay and an encounter with the Unemployment office back in the early 2000’s. Someone suggested getting my employment history from IRS.gov and SSA.gov
So we will start with the IRS. Unfortunately, Tax Transcripts are only available for the past 10 years. The farthest I can go back in 2014, which isn’t helpful at all. So that’s a bust.

Next stop, SSA.gov. So on their website you can get your FREE Social Security Statement, which lists totals for each income year. However, it doesn’t break that down. In order to get names and address of employers attached to my SS#, that’s called an ‘Itemized Statement of Earnings’, which is a special request, requires a form and costs a ridiculous $100. *sigh*.
Looks like that’s my only option, so off I go to give Uncle Sam a Benjamin.
