I was born in 1980. I grew up in very small rural towns, mostly out in the country. I have never moved out of state. My parents were married in the late 70’s and are still married to this day. I have one sibling who is 10 years younger than I am.
I moved 4 hours North of my hometown area when I was 23 years old, in 2003.
I have remained in this area for the last 21 years.
I have created this blog as a way to catalogue my experiences, and hopefully find others with similar ones as well.
If you came to this blog from a social media group, you’ll have already read about some of these events, as I shared some of them there prior to creating this blog.
You’ll also find a few blog posts that don’t seem to fit in to my story.
Over the last 30 years, I have learned to listen to myself. I’ve learned not to dismiss that ‘feeling’ or ‘wave’ that comes while doing the most mundane things. And, sadly, I’ve had to learn it the hard way.
Because most times, more often than not, something in the future connects back to that most mundane moment, to that ‘feeling’ I had while doing something simple and unremarkable. I’d end up wishing I’d said something about it back then, documented it, or snapped a pic.
So, I often remind myself that just because something doesn’t seem to fit in the moment, doesn’t mean it won’t fit later.
