Update to original post: 2004 – The Gas Station

As suggested by many in the FB group, I found a local group for the Gas Station town that didn’t have post approvals turned on (the other local groups denied my posts).

I have a first and last name for my Gas Station friend.

As soon as I read the name, 🔔 DING! 

All this time I did know his name (from hearing ppl say it in the store) I just didn’t realize it was HIS name back then.  

I head to Google and search his name. I find an obituary for his older brother who passed away in 2023.

Let’s say his brother’s name is DAVE. 

In Dave’s obituary, it reads “Dave is survived by one daughter, PEACH, two sisters APPLE and ORANGE, and one brother GAS STATION FRIEND. 

So I copy the first name on the list and head over here to FB and paste it into search. 

PEACH…(gas station friend’s niece). Her profile pic looks familiar but whatever. 

She doesn’t have her friend’s list locked down so I check the list and find Dave & GSF’s two sisters APPLE and ORANGE verifying it’s the right PEACH. 

I click back over to her profile page, and see that PEACH works at a gas station here in the city I live at now.

And this gas station is on the same street I live, literally 2 mins from me.

That’s why her profile pic looks familiar to me. 

I was just there at 2:30pm today! Grabbed a soda and paid for the automatic car wash.

I feel like I need to think on this for a while before I decide how I want to approach it. I’m sure GSF’s family is protective of him, and let’s be honest, this all sounds a bit sketchy if I were to try to explain it.

I’m gonna take my time and sleep on it, literally.
