But dumb things bug me, so here we are.
My porch camera view. Day and night.

But not all nights.
Only some nights there looks like, what my brain can only call “a wall”, just sitting over there across the way behind the swing area.
A few nights ago (3am ish) a bug triggered the camera and there’s that dumb wall again.
Since there’s a pole light out there, my rational side says “it’s a lighting issue, an illusion of a wall.”
But then I go back to the thought that some nights it isn’t there at all.
The environment hasn’t changed, all the same variables are at play. The camera angle hasn’t moved, its stationary and attached to the wall. The pole light is on every night.
If all these variables create this illusion of a wall, wouldn’t it be there every night, in those same conditions?
Also, the thin line of trees out there (in the daytime pic) runs parallel to the main side road. This dumb wall appears to run perpendicular.
To further make an ass of myself, and loose all my credit 😅, I present to you a side by side photo of the 3am phantom wall.

Of all the strange things in my life, this goofy wall is what’s keeping me up at night.
Somebody make this make sense so I can move on 😂
Update:
I sat an alarm for 3am, and as requested, here is a screenshot of the current camera view. No dumb wall tonight, just the pole light glaring down onto the yard area, as it should be.

New side by side of phantom wall vs. no phantom wall….

I can’t believe I’m this invested in a wall that doesn’t exist 🫠
