Camper commotion…

Back in 2021, I purchased a 26ft Outback pull behind camper. It was a mess. But I got it cheap and hauled it home. Rotten subfloors, leaking roof, shoddy repairs, the usual for neglected campers.

I have 3 daughters, and I know firsthand that sometimes life just kinda throws you a big bag of shit.

Should one of them need to return home, I wanted a safe place they could come back to, yet still feel independent.

So, I got to work…

Labor of love for sure. And I never wanna do it again 😅

Now 3 years later, my youngest started her first year of college this past August, and when she’s home, this is her “house”.

Still close enough if she needs her Mama, but she has her own space.

…….

Around 5:45pm, my grandson and I were watching his fav shows in my room. The head of my bed is against the outside wall of my house. The camper is parked next to that same wall.

All of a sudden I hear the loudest banging and beating from outside, not against the wall of my house, but against the camper.

I jump up and my daughter is already calling me “did you hear that! WTF was that?!”

I’m grabbing my shoes and she says the banging was against the farthest end of the camper, not the end closest to my wall.

To hear it inside my house, it was loud!

I go outside and I can’t find anything at all. She meets me out there and we search with flashlights. Nothing.

About an hour later, after I put my grandson to bed, I go back out there and take my time.

This knocking, and beating, and now all-out banging is getting no closer to being solved. And now it’s happening at the camper too, instead of just the house.

I think it’s time to consider a real surveillance system with live stream recording from all angles of the property.

I don’t know what to say. I have read through all your stories, have seen the shadow man, the woman. Had banging etc. and for me it was never anything positive. It was haunting, i was straight out haunted. and to me it sounds like you are as well.

    1. I’ve tried for a very very long time to avoid taking this theory into consideration, but the older I get and the longer this goes on, I’m running out of ways to deny it.

  2. Copying and pasting something that happened to me years ago – kind of similar but not… I never got an answer for it. But I post it mainly so that you know you’re not alone in these experiences…

We used to live in a tiny little cottage: my ex and our dog. Floyd was a fearless, boofy, bull terrier ridgeback cross. He was all muscle.

One night I couldn’t sleep. My ex was snoring beside me, and Floyd was tied up outside in the yard because we had no fence and he would go wandering at night when nobody was awake for company.

At some point in the very early morning, Floyd started growling. I sat up and listened. Then, he went into full-on attack mode, barking and growling, and rushed whatever was bothering him. There was a huge bang, like something had hit the side of a barn. A brief silence, then the sound of Floyd jumping around whining happily just like he would when my ex used to come home (my ex was his favourite person). Then, there was silence again.

There was absolutely nothing out there that he could have collided with to make such a loud noise, I even double checked in the morning. I was too scared to look out the window. My ex slept through the whole thing… I still have no idea what it was! Floyd was just fine, no injuries or anything unusual.

    1. This noise you describe is so similar. Colliding is exactly what this sounded like. For a split second when I heard it, I thought something massive like a tree fell onto the camper. It was instant panic because it was so extremely loud and jolting that I was certain my daughter was harmed, or worse. And to hear something that loud then find nothing, not a trace of anything, is just mind boggling.

  3. Absolutely fascinating! Did you ever speak to the relation of the gas station man?

Intrigued to find out if you ever see that creature again since the man has been moved off your property.

I don’t know what is happening to you and your family, but stay safe(!) and perhaps get more security cameras placed around the property from as many angles as you can.

    1. Hi Becks,

I’ve not followed up on anything with my Gas Station Friend. Life has just been a little hectic and for some reason, it’s just not felt like the right time. But it does cross my mind occasionally.

So far, no sign of the weird Deer-ish thing since Joseph left the property.

Thanks for reading the blog and being here!

  4. I just want to say Lola, you are an amazing, strong woman. You are so handy too! I admire how you are able to make things/repairs things etc. This is a skill I lack and my attempts to make things haven’t been good.

    1. Aww thanks! I’ll admit though, not every diy project turns out good 😅 I’m still trying to figure out how to build myself a greenhouse out of old salvaged windows.
