Ollie??

By now, most of you should have a pretty good idea of the layout of my property. No neighbors, tucked back in a secluded little spot down a long gravel drive. The area surrounding me has all been zoned commercial property over the years. I own the last piece of residential land.

And every once in a while a local delivery driver or handyman will come by for the first time and they all say the same thing…”never knew anything was back here”.

Just the way I like it.

All that to say this…in the 4 years I’ve owned this land, there’s never been a random/stray Great Pyrenees on my property.

There was always only Oliver.

Until something kept tripping the driveway camera, so back outside with flash lights we go.

And a zoom in with a loop to get a better look…

If you know GP’s and you know how their fluffy butt tails look when they run, you’ll see it in the video.

Coincidence? Maybe.

Anxiety induced irrational fear of being re-mauled by my own evil ghost dog? For sure.

  1. For me, the Ollie part of your story is the most heartbreaking chapter. It just feels like what happened to both you and Ollie was the cruelest trick ever, and I wish that it wasn’t so.

    2. It really does feel that way. Honestly, I struggle with it more than I do the other things. I don’t talk about it much at all in my everyday life. Mostly because I don’t like to bring up the trauma with my kids. It’s just something I think will always be there with no real answer as to why.

The night I found your blog (on Matrix Mysteries FB group) I stayed up way too late reading every entry. I got the creeps! Now I’m subscribed and love getting the updates.

  3. I read your blog post about your dog. That was absolutely terrifying what happened to you. It sounds like something took over Ollie causing him to attack you and your family. But how strange when your ex went to retrieve him he was normal again.

I would like to think this is friendly Ollie just visiting and playing to say hi but I can understand your fear will never go away.

My friend was attacked by her family dog when her first daughter was very small. No reason but the dog turned on her and took out some of her arm. Her daughter said watching the dog attacking her Mum was awful and not something she will ever forget.

    1. It’s a very traumatic thing to try and move past. My daughter is doing well, but she still has moments that bring on panic. Her being bitten twice, first, and then also have to witness me being mauled is something I think she will always carry.
