Woke up to this…

This evening I posted on FB about the way I sleep-think, looking for at least a few comments from spectators that stick out to me.

In between waiting for those unicorn comments, I was reading an article about ADHD (a comment suggestion from the post and I don’t rule anything out without at least reading up on it).

I dozed off and was sleep thinking about the article and I noticed that I felt extra aware of my surroundings. It was a quick passing thought while I was sleeping, but that’s when I heard it.

The tapping/clicking noise. Then the back door camera notification dings.

I don’t have a back porch, just steps leading up to door. In order to get the best view of the yard area, that means sacrificing the detection area of the steps. For reference, I’m 5’3” and standing on the second step (for room to open the glass door) the camera view will only capture the top of my head.

So, when I realize this clicking/tapping noise, I know that it’s coming from the door handle and whatever is tapping the button on the handle is shorter than I am because it’s not in the camera view.

And I know that sound because I have the same glass door on my front door and when my toddler grandson is trying to open it (he can’t fully push the button) he taps it like that over and over.

I go to check it out…

There’s nothing out there. Not a single thing.

So, I collect my rattled nerves and I replicate it…just to make sure that’s what I was hearing.

Idk what was clicking this button but I’m damn sure glad the camera triggered to catch the sound.

    I missed the part about your Grandson trying to open the door handle and making the same sound, as he can’t open it. I was thinking about this post and the sound and I was going to say it sounds like someone trying to get in but couldn’t work out how to open the door. Obviously you keep it locked at night anyway but they were trying to get a grip so they could get in. Interesting that it must be someone short.

    Something that was mentioned in one of the groups – I am in unexplained as well as Matrix groups, was about checking out the actual land where your home is. Is your hand on indigenous grounds? old burial grounds? I know you are near a cemetery. Have you ever checked the records for the actual grounds to see what was there before? Might be worth exploring that.

    Have you tried “rattling” the door to see if it makes the same noise? Not pushing the button, but just grabbing the handle and shaking it the way a strong wind might? Also, I heard tapping outside my window yesterday and it turned out to be a woodpecker. Is that a possibility? Last suggestion would be to install another camera on the camper facing the house to get a full view of the door area itself. I hope you figure it out!

    I’ve been following your blog since you first posted in Matrix Mysteries. Your stories are fascinating to me, so thank you so much for sharing!

    This blog entry in particular got me, because I can feel how unsettled you feel in your own space. That just hurts my heart for you! I can tell you love your house and property, but it seems like you don’t feel completely safe. I hate that for you, and just wanted to send some positive energy your way.

      It gets pretty unsettling at times. I try to stay grounded and keep positive energy flowing around here, but I do have my moments where I’m just completely fed up. Thanks for the good vibes! I can sure use them!
